Today, it is one of the most successful research and information centers that has been able to initiate valuable policies for the development of its information materials, databases, and human resources. Also, Irandoc has been trying to launch and provide several systems based on the latest developments to provide better services. Now, with the beginning of the second half century of its activities, it is necessary to consider certain measures and activities to guide research policies by processing and creating added value out of its resources and services. For this purpose, a list of activities are suggested in this paper such as reviewing the user interface of the systems and considering the possibilities of obtaining output for research activities, removing repeated registrations and obtaining different services with one account, collecting and organizing research projects and theses of a wide range of universities under the authority of the two Iranian ministries (the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology and the Ministry of Health and Medical Education) as well as non-governmental institutions of higher education, providing scientometric services based on the data available in Irandoc systems, setting up a huge system of questionnaires and checklists, picking up sources at the end of theses and presenting them independently as well as creating a link between the sources and the text, launching a system of suggested research topics, strengthening the resources of Irandoc through public appeals, and holding the festival of “Research in Research”. «ایرانداک» (با نام جدیدش پژوهشگاه علوم و فناوری اطلاعات ایران) با مأموریت «مدیریت اطلاعات علم و فناوری»، «آموزش همکاری‌های پژوهشی و اطلاع‌رسانی» و «پشتیبانی از فعالیت‌های علم و فناوری ایران» در مهر ۱۳۴۷ پایه‌گذاری شد. این نهاد امروزه یکی از موفق‌ترین مراکز پژوهشی و اطلاع‌رسانی است که توانسته سیاست‌گذاری‌های ارزشمندی در راستای توسعه منابع مادی و نیروی انسانی خود به عمل آوَرَد. همچنین در این راستا تلاش دارد همگام با پیشرفت‌های نوین اطلاع‌رسانی حرکت کرده و برای ارائه خدمات بهتر، سامانه‌های متعددی راه‌اندازی و ارائه کند. اینک با ورود به نیم قرنِ دوم فعالیت این مرکز لازم است با «فرآوری» و «ایجاد ارزش افزوده» بر منابع و خدمات خود در راستای مأموریت‌های نامبرده، اقدام‌ها و فعالیت‌های خاصی در راستای هدایت «سیاست‌گذاری‌های پژوهشی» مد نظر قرار دهد. در همین راستا، مقاله حاضر پیشنهاد می‌دهد که مسئولان پژوهشگاه فعالیت‌های بازنگری در رابط کاربری سامانه‌ها و در نظر گرفتن امکاناتِ گرفتن خروجی برای فعالیت‌های پژوهشی، سازماندهی طرح‌های پژوهشی، سازماندهی پایان‌نامه‌های دانشگاه‌ها و مؤسسات آموزش عالی غیردولتی، فراهم‌سازی خدمات علم‌سنجی، راه‌اندازی سامانه پرسشنامه‌ها و چک‌لیست‌ها، جدا کردن منابع انتهای پایان‌نامه‌ها و ارائه مستقل آن‌ها همراه با برقراری پیوند بین منابع و متن آثار، راه‌اندازی نظام موضوع‌های پیشنهادی، تقویت منابع «ایرانداک» از طریق فراخوان مردمی و برگزاری جشنواره «پژوهش در پژوهش‌» را مد نظر قرار دهند. می‌توان انتظار داشت که انجام این فعالیت‌ها بتواند «ایرانداک» را در کنار مراکزی مانند WOS ، SCOPUS قرار دهد که پژوهشگران علم‌سنجی داده‌های مورد نیاز خود را از این مرکز اخذ کنند.
