Peer Review Policy and Evaluation Process

 | Post date: 2017/02/26 |

Journal of Information Processing and Management (JIPM), published by Iranian Institute for Information Science and Technology (IRANDOC) and Iranian Library and Information Science Association (ILISA).

The decision to publish a paper is based on an editorial assessment and peer review. All articles (including Research articles or Review articles) submitted to JIPM are initially assessed by the editorial board, who decides whether or not the article is suitable for peer review. The initial assessment takes seven or ten days. Submissions considered suitable go through process of double blind peer review, in which the authors and reviewers remain anonymous for the review process. The review period is expected to take around four weeks. Based on the reviews, the editor will make a recommendation for rejection, minor or major revisions, or acceptance and communicate this with the reviewers’ comments, to the corresponding author.

JIPM is committed to apply double-blind peer reviewing process, based on the COPE’s Code of Conduct.
