Abstract
Since digital transformation consists of two hard and soft parts, the current research has identified the components of the soft part of this evolution. According to the findings of this research, the managers of the organizations should, while familiarizing themselves with the soft components of digital transformation in their organizations which are related to human beings and include factors such as culture and skills, the platform and conditions required for this tremendous transformation, build and improve in their organization and avoid focusing only on the hard part of digital transformation which is related to technology and infrastructure. Because neglecting the soft part of digital transformation will lead to the failure of this transformation. Digital transformation that is both the reason for the organization's survival and the guarantee of its success and progress in the current world of change, therefore, according to the increasing importance of digital transformation and its necessity for the survival and success of organizations, the current research aims to provide a conceptual framework resulting from the soft components of digital transformation using the theme network resulting from the theme analysis and then leveling the themes resulting from the analysis. The theme was done using the quantitative method of interpretive structural modeling. A semi-structured interview tool and a researcher-made questionnaire based on the content analysis of the interviews were used to collect information. In the qualitative and quantitative part of the research, a purposeful and judgmental sampling method was used. After analyzing the data in the qualitative section, 185 basic themes were identified in the form of 44 organizing themes and 6 comprehensive themes including organization manager, digital leader, culture, digital strategy, digital innovation and human capital. Then, by using the quantitative method of interpretative structural modeling, comprehensive themes were leveled and the final model of digital transformation was obtained. According to the findings of this research, managers of organizations should, while familiarizing themselves with the soft components of digital transformation in their organizations, which is specific to the soft part of digital transformation, create the necessary technical and non-technical basis for this tremendous transformation in their organization and promote and avoid only paying attention to the hard ice of digital transformation, because neglecting the soft part of digital transformation will lead to the failure of this transformation.
