Abstract

As means of user access to information and knowledge, library information systems have an essential role in information and knowledge optimization and efficiency. Information architecture and its correct implementation might help to accomplish this goal. With regard to IA principles, the purpose of this research is the case study of information systems of Ferdowsi University of Mashhad. Research methodology is qualitative analysis of descriptive type. The findings show that IA of information systems should be designed based on users’ needs and their behavior interacting with IS. IS might accomplish these goals considering infrastructures. This study has focused on the context (technical infrastructure) one of the IA principles.
