A general survey of library users and their satisfaction of Iranian Documentation and Information Center (Irandoc) library services were carried out in Apr-May 2002. The users’ satisfaction questionnaires were distributed among 278 Irandoc library users from different categories who had used the library more than once. It was intended to assess their level of satisfaction of the library services and facilities. The aims of the survey were: ● To identify who are Irandoc library users. ● To identify how they are informed of library services. ● To identify which services they are interested in. ● To identify the level of satisfaction of the library services. ● To identify the level of awareness of library services. ● To identify which services indicate high satisfaction. ● To identify which services indicate low satisfaction. The result indicate that: ● Most users were university BA students. ● Most of them were Informed of Irandoc library services by their university teachers. ● Most of the users used services for carrying out projects and preparing theses. ● Users’ awareness rate of the library services was 39.61, which is a low rate. ● Users’ satisfaction rate of the library services was 81.75, which is a high rate. ● The average rate of their access to the library resources in order to fulfill their needs was 3.90, which is somehow satisfactory.
