Library experts recommend central technical services to avoid the high expenses of these services in libraries. Tehran university libraries also, to prevent repetition of technical activities, paying lots of money and employing extra professional personnel, should concern themselves with resource sharing and cooperative collection building.             In organizaing materials also, to use effectively and efficiently their resources and their stuff, they should well appoint central cataloging and classification. The prerequisite of such a change in methods and procedures is knowledge and awarness of the present status of technical services in these libraries. Thus, the present research has been done in 1997.             Collected data are arranged in tables which are applied to analyse the state of art of technical services in these libraries. At the end to achive such a goal some prepositions are offered.
