The present study presents the result of the investigation made into the key factors influencing the effective use of Information technology in Iranian Small to Medium sized Enterprises (SMEs) –which is aimed at improving market management through customers satisfaction using Delphi method. A bief explanation about IT is given, followed by discussion concerning the importance of SMEs in the world and in Iran. A review of literature is offered. The research method, Delphi in particular, is explained and the outcome are described and analyzed. Delphi panel members had identified 17 factors as being decisive. It should be noted that eight factors had been identified previously in earlier literature. The remaining 9 factors identified by the panel members were categorized into four groups. Research constraints as well as suggestions are offered.
