E-learning, despite providing the possibility of delivering
several online and off-line services for users of computer networks, due to
its nature and environment for activity, increases the possibility of a
variety of security risks. Therefore, analysis and identifying the lessening
of security risks is naturally a major concern for managers in such area.
This paper, reviewing the security vulnerabilities and threats at the level of
e-learning processes in some educational institutions, presents the
required security tactics based on a security risk analysis approach. The
presented set of security tactics can be applied by educational institutions
as a security roadmap. The mentioned security roadmap is verified based
on field studies, research findings and statistical analyses through the
selected communities of e-learning experts and activists.
