: Information Subject Gateways are providing access to the necessary quality controlled databases among the vast resources for users of the web and saving them from the confusion and perplexity among the sources on the web. The main objective of this research is creating Iranian Gateway for Scientific, Research, and Technological Information as a valuable source for use by academics and researchers inside and outside of Iran. Method of This study was descriptive survey and system design. To design and build this gateway, first gateways literature review studied and the Iranian research needs were identified. A Checklist was developed in order to selection of types sources. The evaluation criteria were specified databases and search criteria. Collecting information on different databases was performed. Based on the findings, the most prominent of information gathered includes ten original formats: journals, theses / dissertations, research reports, scientific conferences, library, patent, lectures, educational short courses, scientific associations, and university books. Resources are categorized according to six main themes of Basic Sciences, Medical Sciences, Engineering, Agriculture, Veterinary, Humanities, Art and Architecture and their sub-themes. Then the infrastructure system software was developed and information gathered loaded on it. This system is the first information gateway In Iran and is available from the
Address dar.irandoc.ac.ir to everyone. In Iran, scientific research and technological information is increasing and various resources in various fields are provided on the web. Access to some of the information from a unit window that has the necessary qualities could increase the efficiency and effectiveness of searches. Such a system known as the quality controlled information gateway is a new service for Iranian researchers.
