The present paper intends to identify the channels and resources employed by the MBA students and faculty members at the state universities to fulfill their information needs. Using variance analysis and Duncan’s ranking, “individual study” came on tops (with an average of 2.74) as the most common form of information acquisition method in the population studied. Bibliographic resources (with 2.71) and Internet (2.38) came second and third. Lack of adequate resources available to both students and faculty members to attend national and international seminars, concentration of the bulk of business organizations and institutions in metropolitan Tehran, unavailability of the latest ICT facilities in most universities studied, and absence of any information retrieval learning center for the population studied, are stated as the most prominent problems facing the said population for accessing the information.
